Hemo collects information you choose to provide when you use our website, join our waitlist or beta, create an account, or use the Hemo mobile app. This may include your name, email address, authentication details, profile information, sickle cell type, date of birth, care preferences, and app settings.

If you use Hemo's health and care features, we may collect the information you enter or connect in the app, such as symptom logs, pain scores, hydration, mood, sleep, notes, medications, appointments, emergency contacts, crisis-plan details, care-team information, shared health summaries, and related files or images you upload.

We also collect limited technical and usage information needed to operate and improve Hemo, including device and app information, analytics events, crash/error reports, beta signup details, support or feedback messages, and communication preferences.

How do we use your information?

Your email address is used solely to:

• Notify you when Hemo launches
• Share relevant pre-launch updates and early access information

We do not use your email for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the above.

Do we share your information?

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your email address is stored securely and is only accessible to the Hemo team.

How long do we keep your information?

We keep your email address on the waitlist until you request removal or until the waitlist is closed at launch. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights — including removing yourself from the waitlist — contact us at info@hemo-scd.com and we will respond promptly.

Children and minors

Hemo may be used by people under 18 only with consent from a parent or legal guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided information without your consent, contact us so we can review and respond.

Health and emergency feature notice

Hemo is a self-management and information-organising tool. It is not a medical device, healthcare provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or an individual care plan agreed with your healthcare team.

Information you enter, connect, generate, or share through Hemo — including health logs, wearable readings, summaries, medication matches, crisis information, and emergency-contact details — may be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not rely on Hemo to diagnose a complication, decide when care is needed, contact emergency services, or confirm that a message was delivered.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated 'Current as of' date at the top of this page. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification to the email address you provided.
